Autumn Term Begins 7th September 2009

About Us

We are a small rural primary school in the village of Bishopton on the border of Darlington and Stockton on Tees .  We foster a happy, caring, sharing atmosphere - and welcome partnerships with parents and the community.  Our aim is to be at the centre of the community, meeting the needs of local people.  Children join us from the surrounding villages - and we have also welcomed children from Darlington, Sedgefield and Stockton on Tees .

Many children are introduced to our school through Bishopton Pre-school , which meets every morning and afternoon in the school and also provides full day care. Our Pre-school offers places for children from 2 ½ to 4 years of age. At 4 years old, as part of our induction programme, the children are able to attend Pre-school in the morning, enjoy a school lunch and then join class activities during the afternoon. Children make a comfortable move into our Reception and generally stay with us until the age of 11.

Our Vision Statement

The vision for the children in our Christian schools is to provide an environment where every child realizes their potential in settings that continue to be among the best in the country.

The children’s understanding of themselves, their emotional and social well being will enhance their learning as they are encouraged to take risks and reach out to embrace the highest possible personal achievements.

Our children will be encouraged to take responsibility for their future health and understand that they can make decisions to keep themselves safe in a changing social climate. They will be able to do this safe in the knowledge that the adults around them are always there to support and encourage them in their efforts.

We will know we have succeeded if the children leave us independent in thought, confident in their actions and secure in their self belief as they embark on a life time of learning.
